Student Life Officers Aino Kekkonen and Lisa van Berkel, with the help of the Well-Being Team (Resident Assistants and Peer Supporters), will host the first part of this plenary session will cover the social norms and expectations of AUC students while also touching upon topics such as health and dorm life. This is the first part of two sessions.
Full-programme students
In this interactive, activity-based workshop, you will explore your interests, aspirations, doubts, strengths and challenges to begin charting your study and career path. Second- and third-year student mentors will also introduce AUC’s study-related technologies and present best practices and tips for study success.
Exchange students (Mentor Group 16)
Exchange students will join a meet and greet with their tutor for the semester, Dr. Wade Geary. Dr. Geary will discuss the role of the tutor and how he can help you accomplish your academic goals during your time at AUC. You can find the location of the session below under "Wade Geary (Exchange)".
The tutor workshops will take place around the AUC Academic Building. You can find the location of your Tutor Workshop via the table below (listed alphabetically by tutor surname).

During Introduction Week, it’s normal to have some practical questions regarding your study programme and new home. For this reason, there will be various open office hours during the week. On Wednesday, the following representatives will be present:

Take a break and enjoy a self-catered lunch from the AUC canteen, one of the cafes in the area or bring something from home.
Learn more about the fascinating research institutes, need-to-know shops, best cafes, study spots and other amenities at Science Park with your mentor group by exploring it together! Visit different locations and get acquainted with the campus you'll call home for the next three years.

Your mentors are great resources for learning about life at AUC and in Amsterdam and this is their chance to show it. They will plan a surprise afternoon activity for you and your group to highlight one (or more) of the reasons why they enjoy AUC life!
