In addition, she has extensive experience in spatially explicit statistical analysis of survey and map data, and profiling of vulnerable groups. She also has extensive experience in international research projects. Among others, she has been member of the research team in the project “Towards concerted sharing: Development of a regional water economy model in the Jordan River Basin”, 2012-2016; has been involved in various Tailor Made Training programmes (NUFFIC/NESO) in, among others, Mozambique and Indonesia; was project team leader of “Autonomy, partnership and beyond, A counterfactual analysis of policy coherence for Ghana”, 2013-2014; principal researcher and coordinator of tasks within the SOW-VU Work Package of EU 7th framework project “CLIMAFRICA”, 2010-2014.
She serves on various boards and advisory committees. Among others, she has been chair of the International Advisory Committee ‘Food and Business Global Challenges Programme’ of the National Science Foundation in the Netherlands (2013-2017), and member of the Round Table on Monitoring Food Security (CFS).
