She is currently completing her PhD on contemporary graphic narratives representing the Spanish Civil War. Her academic interests include memory studies, historical fiction, comics and literature. Before coming to Amsterdam, she worked at the University of Colorado at Boulder, at the University of Santiago de Compostela and at the University of Malta, teaching language and literature courses. She obtained her Bachelor's degree in Spanish Philology at the University of Santiago de Compostela, a Master's degree in Spanish Contemporary Literature at UC Boulder, and a Master's degree in Multimedia Translation at the University of Cádiz.
