Third-year AUC student Dasha Gavrilova passed away unexpectedly on Friday 25 June 2021.
Dasha was born on 19 January 2001 in Mol, Belgium. She started her studies at AUC in September 2018 and was currently a third-year student with a major in Social Sciences. At AUC, Dasha focused her studies on psychology and studying the human brain and cognition. The unexpected news of her passing has struck us all with sadness.
For students, staff and anyone who wishes to take a moment to remember Dasha, the AUC Merian Area (3.12) will be set up as a memorial space. The memorial space will be available from 30 June until 2 July. It will be possible to place tokens or attributes, and there will be a book of condolences to sign.
Our AUC Student Life Officers Aino Kekkonen and Lisa van Berkel are available for support. If you would like to talk to someone, it’s possible to make a personal appointment by email, or you can make use of the open office hours every day of this week (30 June – 2 July) through Zoom, between 14.00 and 16.00, where you will be able to speak to an SLO directly.
