Maaike joined AUC in December 2024. She is an experienced project lead and education specialist with a strong background in both teaching and administrative systems. Starting her professional career as a Montessori teacher, Maaike developed a passion for fostering student success and creating impactful learning environments. This led to a transition into higher education, where she has served in several positions.

While working at Utrecht University, she developed a keen interest in student wellbeing, process optimisation and lean methodologies, applying her expertise to streamline processes and enhance student experiences.
