Dr. Julia Hülsken is a lecturer and tutor at AUC. She teaches Psychology, Methods in Social Sciences Research, Academic Writing Skills and Advanced Research Writing. She also coordinates the AUC Writing Center and is co-coordinator for Academic Writing Skills.

Julia completed her PhD in Psychology on children’s eyewitness testimonies at the University of Sheffield in 2015, in which she focused on how to make children more confident and accurate witnesses in legal proceedings. Since then, she has taught at universities in the UK and the Netherlands.

Julia has also supervised a wide range of Capstones/dissertations in cognitive/developmental/forensic psychology, but is also open to projects from other areas of psychology. In addition, she is very passionate about students’ learning, well-being and other aspects of their daily experiences.

In her free time, she likes to play board games and video games.
