Amsterdam University College students Sharwari Khare, Erika Vodvárková and Elena Volbracht, along with alumni Júlia Celma, Céline Paré and Ece Sivrikaya, will present their research at the Aurora International Peace Conference 2025 from 17 to 21 February 2025. They will join Dr. Anne de Graaf, AUC tutor and lecturer in peace and conflict studies, to share insights from the 'Peace by Peace' research project.

Sharing results from the 'Peace by Peace' project

The Peace by Peace research project is an online student-led, open-access peacebuilding manual. Developed by AUC students, it incorporates interviews with more than 100 youth peacebuilders from post-conflict societies. The research presented at the conference will examine the project from educational, theoretical and thematic perspectives. It will also highlight its global reach and practical applications for young peacebuilders around the world.

Highlighting a commitment to peace education

In addition to supporting student research, Dr. Anne de Graaf will also present her paper, "Waging Peace: The Urgent How of Teaching Peace" during the conference. This presentation will reflect on AUC’s role in peace education and discuss past initiatives such as Peace Lab.
