Sharing contributions from "Peace by Peace"
17 February 2025
The Peace by Peace research project is an online student-led, open-access peacebuilding manual. Developed by AUC students, it incorporates interviews with more than 100 youth peacebuilders from post-conflict societies. The research presented at the conference will examine the project from educational, theoretical and thematic perspectives. It will also highlight its global reach and practical applications for young peacebuilders around the world.
In addition to supporting student research, Dr. Anne de Graaf will also present her paper, "Waging Peace: The Urgent How of Teaching Peace" during the conference. This presentation will reflect on AUC’s role in peace education and discuss past initiatives such as Peace Lab.
The Aurora International Peace Conference 2025 will take place at the University of Innsbruck. The event is co-sponsored by Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU) and several Ukrainian universities. This year’s theme focuses on the role of higher education in peacebuilding.
