Applications are now open for students looking to start their studies at AUC in September 2022. Those applying should be aware of some updates to the application procedure and the way AUC processes applications.

Batch processing and uniform timeline for receiving a decision on admissions

AUC will review applications in two batches that correspond with the two application deadlines. Batch processing helps to ensure equality in consideration of all candidates who submit an application for a given deadline regardless of when they apply before the stated deadline. This not only helps with equality of processing but also ensures that students who apply receive a decision on admission during the same time periods.

Applications from candidates who apply as ‘early birds’ (by 1 December) will receive a decision on admission in the first week of February. Applications for those who apply for the regular deadline (by 1 February) are processed after initial offers are made to ‘early bird’ candidates, with decisions on admission being issued in the first week of April.

Admissions Days now called Welcome Days and have been made optional

In previous years, prospective students were asked to attend an Admissions Day at the AUC Academic Building (or an online Meet & Greet if it wasn’t possible to come to campus) to meet members of the AUC community and have a one-on-one conversation with one of AUC’s admissions tutors prior to receiving an offer to study at AUC.

Starting with applicants for September 2022, Admissions Days will be renamed to "Welcome Days: For students who have received an offer to study at AUC" and will no longer be part of the application review procedure, being made optional. Welcome Days and Meet & Greets will allow accepted students to further get to know AUC, the community and other students that have been accepted to the programme. They'll be able to visit the campus, speak with academic staff members, meet current AUC students, tour the student residences and ask any final questions they may have before enrolling. The Welcome Days and Meet & Greets will take place over the course of February for early-bird applicants, and in April/early May for regular applicants.

Application guidelines redesigned

AUC’s application guidelines have been redesigned for clarity. While the guidelines may look different, the information asked remains similar to previous years. The application guidelines can be downloaded by following the link below.
