After completing an interdisciplinary social science bachelor’s programme in Utrecht, and studying abroad at UC Berkeley and Humboldt Universität Berlin, Marcus completed a master’s programme in Social Theory and Public Affairs at the University of Amsterdam. During his studies he found a great interest in themes surrounding social (in)equality, migration and public policy, but also education, so it was only a small leap to start working in university administration. After three years at UvA Student Services, Marcus has been at AUC since 2016, first focusing on study abroad and student services, later also communications and finally management.
