Dr. Julia Hülsken is a lecturer and tutor at AUC since 2021, where she teaches Basic Research Methods and Statistics 2 and Advanced Research Writing. She also supports students via the AUC Writing Center.

Julia completed her PhD in Psychology on children’s eyewitness testimonies at the University of Sheffield in 2015 in which she focused on how to make children more confident and accurate witnesses in legal proceedings. Since then, she has taught at universities in the UK and the Netherlands.

Julia has also supervised a wide range of capstones/dissertations in cognitive/developmental/forensic psychology, but is also open to projects from other areas of psychology. In addition, she is very passionate about students’ learning, well-being  and other aspects of students’ daily experiences.

In her free time, she likes to play board and video games, read, cook and bake.
