Study Abroad

Opportunities for AUC students to study abroad

AUC students are encouraged to study abroad and around one-third of AUC students have the opportunity to experience a different country, culture and university. AUC students attend a variety of destinations, including many European universities and internationally renowned universities such as Boston College, National University of Singapore, University of Melbourne, University of Toronto, McGill University, Yonsei University and the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Students may apply to study abroad for a semester as part of the second or third year of their curriculum. The application process is competitive, with students being selected on the basis of GPA and motivation. However, sufficient guidance is offered to make sure as many students as possible get a chance to study abroad.

AUC has a strong international network consisting of highly ranked research universities and prestigious liberal arts and sciences colleges around the world. AUC students can also make use of the bilateral partner network of the University of Amsterdam and part of the Erasmus network of the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. A list of AUC's own partner universities and the bilateral partners of the University of Amsterdam are available below.

More information on partners, the application procedure, etc. can be found on Canvas under General Student Information > Pages > Study Abroad.
