Dr. Erik Ansink teaches the courses Environmental Economics and Sustainable City at AUC. Ansink is an experienced researcher and lecturer in environmental economics. His main interests are cooperation and conflict in the management and conservation of water, nature and climate. He uses a wide variety of research methods to address these issues, including tools and models from game theory, political economy and experimental economics. He is an assistant professor at the Department of Spatial Economics of Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and a research fellow at the Tinbergen Institute. He is the managing editor of the journal "Water Resources & Economics." His papers have appeared in prestigious academic journals, including the "Journal of Environmental Economics and Management", "Social Choice and Welfare" and the "Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization."
