Along with his teaching duties, he is also a Tutor; he advises both traditional and exchange students at AUC. He earned his degrees from the University of Iowa and the University of Northern Iowa. After his studies, he taught composition, literature and fiction writing courses at the University of Northern Iowa for seven years. His recent academic interests lie mainly in literary adaptations.
