He holds a PhD in dynamic social network analysis from the Faculty of Social Sciences, Departments of Organisation Sciences and Social Research Methodology and Statistics, VU Amsterdam. Before teaching at AUC, he also taught classes such as Social Networks and Organisations, and Advanced Network Analysis. Next to his academic life, Maurits is also a professional (pastry) chef and collects barbecues.
