Dr. Asja Szafraniec teaches Big Questions in Time and Advanced Research Writing at AUC.

Among her other recent courses are History of Philosophy and Introduction to Literary and Cultural Analysis. Her areas of expertise are phenomenology of time (and more generally phenomenology and its critique), and conceptualisations of philosophy’s relation to literature, art, film and language. She has published two books on the topic (Beckett, Derrida and the Event of Literature with Stanford University Press and (coauthored) Words with Fordham University Press) and articles on phenomenology’s method and critique in different academic journals and collections. Prior to AUC, she held a research and teaching position at the UvA’s Department of Philosophy.
