From organising the study plan and understanding maths requirements to the benefits of applying early, the session highlighted the key information applicants wanted to know. The five most asked topics include:
To help you get started, download the Application Guidelines for September 2026. These include important dates, links to more detailed information and a helpful study plan template to help you structure your course selections.
As a resource for which courses are offered per major and area of study, you can consult the AUC Course Listing [PDF]. For more information about a certain course (including in which semester it takes place), you can search by name in the course catalogue. Finally, be sure to take a look at the programme structure page for more details on curriculum components and the requirements per major (especially check the table and diagrams in the fold-outs per major).
Yes, you can apply! This is a very common situation for prospective students, so there's no need to worry. You should submit transcripts from your previous two full years of secondary school, and include any grades you may already have for the current year. You should not submit predicted grades.
If admitted, you will receive a conditional offer if your final grades or exams are not yet available, and your admission will be finalised once your completed transcripts are submitted (and any other conditions highlighted in your offer letter are met).
Early-bird applications have a deadline of 1 December and are reviewed first. Decisions are then sent in the first week of February. Regular applications have a deadline of 1 February and are reviewed later, with decisions being sent in the first week of April. Since there is no limit on the number of early-bird candidates accepted, those applying for the early-bird deadline have a better chance of receiving an offer of admission than those who apply for the regular deadline, as the first round of offers will have already been made by the time regular applications are reviewed.
The maths requirements at AUC vary depending on the major you choose. Each major has specific expectations to ensure you are prepared for the courses in that field. You can find the detailed maths requirements for each major on our website under maths requirements per major.
If your maths curriculum or system isn’t listed on our website, you will need to take an Online Math Placement Test (OMPT). You can find more information about the OMPT and which test you would need to take on our website.
If you have any more questions about admissions requirements or the application procedure for Amsterdam University College, we encourage you to reach out to our Admissions Office. You can join the weekly office hours to chat directly with an Admissions Officer on Tuesdays via Zoom or Wednesdays by telephone. We’re happy to help!
