How did Rabobank change after the crisis?
For the past two years, economist Marcel Canoy has been “a fly on the wall” without restrictions at Rabobank and wrote a book about his experience called “De bank van goede bedoelingen” (the bank of good intentions). He wanted to know what has changed after the crisis. His conclusion? A lot has changed, but there are still many concrete points for improvement. In this Who’s in Town lecture, Marcel will share his inside experience at Rabobank, his suggestions on the way forward and will answer any questions you may have.
Economist Dr. Marcel Canoy is distinguished lecturer at the Erasmus School of Accounting and Assurance, and advisor to the Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets. He regularly publishes in publications like NRC Handelsblad and Het Financieele Dagblad, where he also had a column. Before that, he was professor in Tilburg and worked in the think tank of former European Commission president José Manuel Durão Barrosso.
