Follow up sessions

Throughout September

After Introduction Week is over, all first-year AUC students will be required to attend additional plenary sessions in September. These are run by the Student Life Officer and are meant to help with your transition to life at AUC and living independently. Please note that attendance at these sessions is mandatory. All first-year students will receive an email with the links to attend the virtual presentations.

Health, stress and emergencies

  • Description: How does the Dutch health care system work? What are effective ways to deal with stress? In this session, the Student Life Officer will address these questions and many others. You will also discuss mental health and emergency reporting procedures and practise stress management techniques.

Adulting 101 - A Healthy Life and Bank Balance

  • Description: In this session, the Student Life Officer and AUCSA Treasurer will introduce you to strategies for proactive budgeting. You will also review general financial practicalities and expectations, and consequences for missed payments.

More sessions to be announced

There will be more sessions on topics including creating an inclusive learning climate, setting boundaries and consent. These will be organised in collaboration with external parties and you will receive an individual invitation with more information in the week following Introduction Week.
