AUC's academic calendar
AUC's academic year runs parallel with that of the VU Amsterdam and the University of Amsterdam.
Academic Year 2019-2020
The AUC Introduction Week 2019 will take place from 26 August to 30 August 2019.
The autumn 2019 semester is 20 weeks long, divided into a 16-week period (2 September 2019 to 20 December 2019) and a 4-week period (6 January 2020 to 31 January 2020).
The spring 2019 semester is also 20 weeks long, divided into a 16-week period (4 February 2019 to 29 May 2019) and a 4-week period (3 June 2019 to 28 June 2019).

Academic Year 2018-2019
The AUC Introduction Week 2018 will take place from 27 August to 31 August 2018.
The autumn 2018 semester is 20 weeks long, divided into a 16-week period (3 September 2018 to 21 December 2018) and a 4-week period (7 January 2019 to 1 February 2019).
The spring 2019 semester is also 20 weeks long, divided into a 16-week period (4 February 2019 to 29 May 2019) and a 4-week period (3 June 2019 to 28 June 2019).

Future academic years
AUC's academic year will continue to run parallel with that of the VU Amsterdam and the University of Amsterdam for the coming years. However, the class-free weeks will be determined on a per year basis. You can find the start and end dates of the academic semesters for the years to come below.
