15.2 hours per week (0.4 FTE) vacancy number 10-9001 Amsterdam University College (AUC) is a joint institute of the VU University Amsterdam and the University of Amsterdam.

The College Secretary will be responsible for: - organising meetings for administrative, advisory or participating bodies and committees at AUC (these include: AUC Board, Management Team, Board of Studies, Board of Examiners, International Advisory Committee, Student Council);
- drawing up draft agendas;
- taking minutes of meetings and ensuring reports of these are adequately compiled and distributed;
- monitoring agreements and lists of decisions and action points;
- managing the archives of the administrative, advisory and participating bodies;
- drafting and editing standard correspondence with and between these bodies;
- serving as the contact person between the various bodies, (external) stakeholders and concerned parties and informing and reporting to the relevant persons.
The College Secretary will report to the Dean of AUC.
- Professional qualification(s) and work experience in secretarial work at executive level
- Excellent Dutch and English language skills
- Good communication and intercultural skills and a preference for and experience with working in a dynamic international environment
- Good ICT skills (Microsoft Office)
- Experience of working in a university environment is an advantage

This position is for 0.4 FTE preferably starting 1 November 2010. The appointment will be for one year, after which a permanent position. The full-time salary is up to €3,028 gross per month (salary scale 8) depending on experience.
