Björn Brügemann teaches Macroeconomics at AUC. He is Associate Professor of Economics at the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam. He studied Economics at the University of Bonn and received his PhD from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He was previously an assistant professor at Yale University. His research interests lie at the intersection of macroeconomics and labor economics. The focus of his research is the development of equilibrium models of the labor market to better understand the effects of labor market policy as well as the nature of macroeconomic fluctuations in the labor market. Brügemann is a Research Fellow of IZA Bonn.
