Haro, Sebastian de (Dr.)
Sebastian De Haro teaches Quantum Physics, Statistical Mechanics, Mathematical Methods in Physics, Philosophical Problems and Big Questions in Science at AUC. De Haro is currently also a Tarner scholar at Trinity College, Cambridge, in Philosophy of Science and History of Ideas, and a Member of the Faculty of Science and the Vossius Center for History of Humanities and Sciences of the University of Amsterdam. He did his PhD in theoretical physics in 2001 under Gerard 't Hooft (Nobel Prize in Physics 1999). His areas of research are quantum gravity, string theory and philosophy of science. Before joining AUC, De Haro held research positions at the University of California, Los Angeles, the Max Planck Institute for Gravitational Physics, Berlin, and King's College, London.
