Scott, Francesca (Dr.)
Dr. Francesca Scott is AUC's Head of Studies Academic Core. She completed her MA in Pan-Romanticisms, and her PhD, ‘The Fuzzy Theory and Women Writers in the Late Eighteenth Century’, at the University of Warwick, where she also taught courses in English and Comparative Literary Studies. She was a postdoctoral researcher with the HERA project Travelling TexTs: The Transnational Reception of Women’s Writing at the Fringes of Europe at the Huygens ING from 2014-2106, and now collaborates with the NEWW network: New approaches to European Women’s Writing. Her research focuses on the literary representation of women’s health in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries and the reception of eighteenth-century British women’s writing in Europe, and she teaches courses in both the Academic Core and Humanities, while coordinating Advanced Research Writing.
