AUC students attending Prof. Robbert Dijkgraaf's Einstein lecture

10 December 2013

AUC Dean together with twenty-five AUC physics students and five members of the AUC faculty attended the recording of the English TV lecture of Professor Robbert Dijkgraaf. The lecture took place on 30 November in Gashouder Amsterdam (Westergasfabriekterrein).

As mentioned on www.robbertdijkgraaf.com, Prof. Dijkgraaf took the audience on a journey through the life and revolutionary theories of Albert Einstein. He explained that Einstein is not only the most famous genius of all time but is in the possession of a great imagination and a large amount of creativity. Similar to his previous lectures, Dijkgraaf made use of historical footage, animations, and also a ‘model of space and time’ to accomplish a good understanding of Einstein’s life, theories and thoughts.

After the lecture, the AUC group gathered and took a picture with Professor Dijkgraaf.
