AUC Model United Nations Conference 2018

13Apr2018 15Apr2018

AUC Model United Nations (AUCMUN) will host a three-day conference at the AUC academic building where more than 250 delegates from around the world will gather in Amsterdam to promote youth involvement in discussions about global affairs.

AUCMUN is a student-led organisation and committee of the AUC Student Associaiton. Model United Nations (MUN) is a concept that unites young international students in participating in conferences concerning world issues and global affairs in a simulation of the United Nations.

MUN also offers students an opportunity to learn about the different councils and the structure of the UN, as well as improve their skills in debating, teamwork and presenting.

AUCMUN offers a platform for future global leaders looking for the opportunity to become more involved in conflict resolution and diplomacy.

AUCMUN Conference 2018

In this year's conference, AUCMUN will simulate nine committees of the United Nations: the Security Council, the Crisis Security Council, the Human Rights Council, the Economic and Social Council, the Committee on Drugs and Crime, the Special Political Committee, the Legal Committee, the Disarmament Committee and the Environmental Committee.

Besides debating and writing resolutions, delegates are also invited for an opportunity to mingle: the Diplomat Dinner.
