This year's first cohort of AUC students has had the opportunity to found several brand new organisations that focus on different aspects of student life. Supported by AUC, these organisations are currently in the process of setting up their different activities and an independent website. To give you an indication of the extra-curricular activities you can participate in at AUC, here is a quick preview of the different student associations.
The Party & Excursion Committee Amenidad will plan various social activities and trips in the Netherlands and abroad. They have already started regular get-togethers in one of the local bars in the city centre.
The Sports Association will hold its first tournament by the end of November and is currently forming teams to compete in intercollegiate sports activities.
AUC On Stage organises cultural activities, such as dancing and student theatre. They also help students find their way in the rich Amsterdam cultural scene.
AUC's own newspaper, The Re:spondent keeps students updated on important developments and activities within AUC, student life and Amsterdam more broadly.
The Debating Club and the Model United Nations Committee teaches students how to debate and will facilitate AUC delegations to Model United Nations conferences.
Last but not least, the AUC student Think Tank regularly organises guest lectures with featured speakers and discusses important societal developments.
