Princess Máxima visits Amsterdam University College

On Monday 29 March, Her Royal Highness Princess Máxima of The Netherlands visited Amsterdam University College (AUC) where she met students and staff.

During her visit Princess Máxima took part in two education sessions. In the first session, chaired by Professor Robbert Dijkgraaf, a number of AUC students discussed the theme Excellence across the Disciplines, which focused on the importance of interdisciplinary education.  After this, Professor James Kennedy and Professor Halleh Ghorashi examined the theme Diversity in the Global City. In this session, students talked about their experiences related to the concepts of identity and diversity in the context of Amsterdam as a global city.
