AUC students are encouraged to study abroad. Yearly, around 60 AUC students have the opportunity to experience a different country, culture and university. AUC students attend a variety of destinations, including Boston College, National University of Singapore, University of Melbourne, University of Toronto, McGill University, Yonsei University, and the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Students may apply to study abroad for a semester as part of the second or third year of their curriculum. The application process is competitive, and students are selected on the basis of GPA and motivation. AUC has a strong international network consisting of highly ranked research universities and prestigious liberal arts and sciences colleges worldwide. AUC students can also make use of the bilateral partner network of the University of Amsterdam and part of the Erasmus network of the VU University Amsterdam.
